The Lifelong Learning Programme for Guidance Counsellors
You are an education and career counsellor, school counsellor or are involved in information, counselling and orientation for education and career in any other way and want to:
- exchange experiences with colleagues in Europe and get to know their institutions?
- attend subject-specific conferences or courses in Europe?
- put a project into practice with European partner institutions?
By means of Grundtvig (Adult Education), Leonardo da Vinci (Vocational Education and Training), Comenius (School Education) and the study visits, the Lifelong Learning Programme offers guidance counsellors numerous pportunities to become mobile and to experience the European dimension of their field of occupation.
The programme is open for nationals and permanent citizens of the following countries: the 27 member countries of the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey.
Exchange with colleagues in Europe
Study Visits
Short-term visits (3-5 days) for exchange and cooperation of (vocational) education experts and decision-makers as well as social partners at European level

Leonardo da Vinci – Mobility
Placements (1-6 weeks) of experts in vocational education and training and further education for an exchange of knowledge and networking
Grundtvig – Visits & Exchange
Practical teaching, coaching, counselling or management activities (1 day to 12 weeks) at a host adult education institution by a person workin in formal/informal adult education
Grundtvig – Assistance
Longer-term practical teaching, coaching, counselling or management activities (12-45 weeks) at a host adult education institution by a person actually working in adult education or willing to work in adult education in the near future
Participation in subject-specific conferences & further education
Grundtvig – Visits & Exchange
Participation in subject-specific conferences (1–4 days)
Comenius & Grundtvig – Further Education
Participation in courses and further education to improve one’s practical skills in teaching, coaching, counselling or management

Implementation of Projects
Grundtvig Learning Partnership
Two-year process-oriented cooperation projects of organisations in the field of adult education (formal, non-formal or informal) from at least three countries taking part in the educational programme of the EU; aim: exchange of experiences, processes and methods
Leonardo da Vinci Partnership
Two-year cooperation projects of vocational education and training institutions, companies and social partners as well as political decision-makers from at least three countries taking part in the educational programme of the EU
