Comenius & eTwinning Contact Seminar
03 - 06 November 2010, Vienna, Austria
100 participants from upper secondary schools from 23 different countries met in Vienna in order to discuss and create school partnerships.
The purpose of the three-day contact seminar was to establish networking opportunities for teachers wishing to develop and organize partnerships as project coordinators or partners. Thus, the main aim of the seminar was bringing together people from different subject areas and to promote the multidisciplinary aspect of Comenius and eTwinning projects.
NA staff provided the participants with general information on the Comenius Programme and best practice examples from Austrian schools. This practical information was enriched by presentations and workshops regarding project management, intercultural dialogue and ICT. The teambuilding activity and the guidelines for project management seemed to be particularly supportive for the working groups in order to create ideas for school partnerships.
In addition to the daily work, a cultural programme (Sound museum) in Vienna was organised, enhancing informal exchange and networking among the participants. At the end of the Contact Seminar many promising and concrete project ideas had been worked out.
